Mr. Laurent Ndayambaje, a member of COOPTHE Mulindi, brings extensive experience in the tea industry to the MFC board. With 20 years as an Agri-Consultant, he specializes in agribusiness, private sector development, value chain development, and investment promotion. He has held managerial positions at various tea factories and cooperatives and has been involved in research projects and consultancies related to tea. Mr. Ndayambaje holds a master’s degree in Agriculture and is involved in managing the Reach-T project for children in tea-growing areas.
With 20 years of experience in the agriculture sector, Mr. Ndayambaje works as an Agri-Consultant in Rwanda, specializing in the tea industry. His expertise includes agribusiness, private sector development, business development, investment promotion, and value chain development.
Mr. Ndayambaje served as the Managing Director of two tea factories in Rwanda, namely Nyabihu Tea Factory and Rubaya Tea Factory. In these roles, he was responsible for overseeing the operations, production, and management of the factories.
Mr. Ndayambaje held managerial positions at COOBACYAMU tea cooperative at Kitabi Tea Factory and COOPTHE Mulindi. In these roles, he managed the cooperative activities, coordinated tea production, and ensured the cooperative’s success.
Mr. Ndayambaje served as the first tea researcher officer at Rwanda National Agriculture Export Board (NAEB). His responsibilities included conducting research on tea, designing field trials, and evaluating tea clones and fertilizer trials across different regions in Rwanda.
