TeaGrades

Tea grades categorize teas based on factors such as leaf size, appearance, and quality, providing a way to differentiate and classify the various types of teas available.

It’s the largest size of grain particles and it produces liquors that are a bit light in body but with encouraging flavoring characteristics

Dust is the fine powder, much finer than fanning, made of tea particles derived from producing higher grades of tea. Black and finer than the Pekoe Fanning 1, it produces thick more pungent liquors.

Fanning are finely-broken pieces of tea leaf that still have a coarse texture. Black and grainy with particles slightly smaller in size than the BP1
